It used an improved 7.7-litre (7,668 cm3) engine from the Phantom I, an in-line 6-cylinder engine with overhead camshafts and a new transverse flow cylinder head. It is the last of the great six-cylinder Rolls. The engine is fed by a single Rolls-Royce carburettor and develops a maximum power of 120 bhp at 3,500 rpm. It is mated to a four-speed manual gearbox.
